Experience

I am an ideal tutor for any student seeking help with Writing, Government and Political Science classes, or tests like the SAT and LSAT. I can also tutor Social Studies, Grammar, and legal subjects including Tort, Criminal, Constitutional, Contract, Administrative, and Family Law. I am especially well-suited to tutoring students thinking of working on a law degree at some point in the future.I have a bachelor's degree in International Relations from Randolph-Macon Woman's College and a master's degree in Peace Studies from the University of Denver. Having finished law school recently, I am now studying for the bar exam. I believe that, because my studies are recent, I am better able to assist students than an older tutor who may not remember what it's like to be a student. I know, for example, that confidence is important to students. Whether writing an essay or taking a test, having a handle on the material reduces anxiety and drives performance up. Tutoring sessions are a great way to make that happen, and I look forward to being a part of that process. My hobbies include reading, hiking, sewing, and training dogs.
