North Park University - BA, Biblical & Theological Studies

I hold a bachelor's degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from North Park University. I have been working as a mathematics teacher for almost a decade, instructing students in Geometry, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra. While my college major and current career may seem disparate, I have found connection with Galileo's saying about God using Mathematics to write the universe. My specialty is math, and as such I can tutor students in general elementary and middle school math as well as Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, and Non-Euclidean Geometry. I personally find mathematics to be both valuable and exciting. My choice to become a teacher was rooted in my desire to help young people succeed. It is my personal belief that students learn the best when they are taught by someone they trust and whose company they enjoy. In my tutoring, my goal is just that: to build a connected relationship between myself and the student so I can help them build the skills, knowledge base, and attitude they will need to be successful in today's world. In my spare time, I keep active through hiking, basketball, football, and baseball. I enjoy playing guitar, hanging out with my dogs, and watching television.
